Electric A-Frame

In the ideal system – energywise – no energy should be added during a launch and recovery operation. At Arcim we have developed a system, which makes it possible to reabsorbe/regenerate energy from winches and A-frame. With the means of a battery solution, you can then use this energy to recover a load back on deck.

This means that only the mechanical electric losses needs to be supplemented. With this solution you can regenerate up to 60% of the consumed energy.

If the equipment is submerged for a long period of time, and you need dampening functions, e.g. in order to prevent damages on the umbilical, the energy from the dampening functions can also be used for regeneration and thus lower the energy supply (consumption) needed.
